We have spent several days a week in our kayaks for the past few weeks. We have just seen a few ducks and geese this year, but a wide variety of other wildlife.
View from a kayak 6/23-7/8
The past few weeks we have continued to paddle the Connecticut River between Wilder and Hanover including Mink Brook, and North Hartland Lake. We have seen beaver and muskrat on both lakes,
as well as great blue herons,
eagles,
dragon flies,
damsel flies,
and plenty of ducklings.
Kayaking 7/12-18
This week found us on several of our favorite waters. Of course we saw ducks,
great blue herons,
phoebes,
kingfishers,
and kingbirds.
We also saw turtles,
muskrats,
and flowers.
North Hartland Lake 6/20
We spent the morning on North Hartland Lake. It was a day for turtles, lots of small birds, flowers, more turtles. We did see one great blue heron flying up the river.
