The end of the summer has come. Many mornings are foggy, the leaves are changing color, and we are using coverings on our legs to keep warm. We paddled several times on the Connecticut and the Pompy and once on Indian Pond, seeing the usual suspects.
From my kayak 6/22-7/11
We have spent several days a week in our kayaks for the past few weeks. We have just seen a few ducks and geese this year, but a wide variety of other wildlife.
Birds

Kayaking 7/12-18
This week found us on several of our favorite waters. Of course we saw ducks,
great blue herons,

We also saw turtles,
muskrats,
and flowers.
8/14-21
This week we have seen a variety of ducks,
gold finches,
green herons,
egrets,
kingfishers,
chicken of the wood,
and turtles.
