We took our last paddle of the season up the Connecticut and into Mink Brook.
We found almost as many wood ducks as mallards, along with a cormorant, mergansers, and a chipmunk.
We paddled on the Connecticut and up Mink Brook with Jane’s son and sister this afternoon.
It was quite chilly (in the lower 50’s). Unless we have some nice weather next weekend, this was the last one of the season.
We paddled on McDaniels Marsh on Monday.
We didn’t see much wildlife– most had flown south. We did see a cormorant,
some ducks in the distance,
as well as a kingfisher doing it’s “I don’t want my picture taken” act and maybe a kite. But the paddle was nice anyway.
