Another Connecticut River Walk

We walked along the River in Wilder this morning. We ran into a flock of mallards feeding.

The water was lower than usual today, so we walked along the shore where there is usually a foot of water.

First weekend in the kayak

Yesterday we paddled up the “Pompy”. The water was as low as we’ve ever seen it but the current was much stronger. We saw a couple of families of Canadian geese, but they wouldn’t let us get close enough to photograph them.

Today we paddled from Wilder around Gilman Island on the Connecticut. The ducks were much more accustomed to people.
