A foggy morning on the Ompompanoosuc River this morning.
We saw at least 2 great blue herons,
ducks,
tree full of flickers,
and some flowers.
We paddled up towards the Montshire Museum yesterday and saw the usual array of birds: green heron, wood duck, mallards, mergansers etc. It started out with the fog making interesting patterns.
The most of the mallards were busy eating, but one sat for us.
We spent quite a while watching an immature bald eagle yesterday on North Hartland Lake.
We also saw the usual variety of herons, ducks, and osprey.
A duck sat for us on the Connecticut this morning.
