Today we had our first snow crocus.
At the end of the driveway, there were snow caves in the snow bank by the side of the road with grass growing in them. I’ve never seen them before.

After an inch of snow yesterday, the sun is out and melting the snow.
There were a couple of pairs of hooded mergansers in the pond next to the inn.

We saw our first robins today.
and walked down to Bob’s sugar house.

We were taking our walk out Wildlife Rd, avoiding the puddles, when we saw a deer running through the woods. A little farther along, Freya went on alert and off across the field were another two, one of which disappeared into the woods.
On the way back we saw another one, possibly the first one.
The weather has been warm, in the 40’s and the snow is melting.
