We paddled a few times this week, mostly on the Connecticut River between Wilder and Hanover, but also the North Hartland Lake. We saw beaver,

an indigo bunting,
kingfishers,
a yellowthroat,
damsel flies,
merlins,
and lots of mallards and wood ducks.
On Tuesday, our friends Diane Langley and Mardrey Swenson (and Gemma) came with us.
This past week we have paddled on North Hartland Lake and the Connecticut. We saw more mammals than usual: Deer in North Hartland

We also saw a variety of birds.
including some unusual ducks.
We paddled on Grafton Pond this morning and saw at least 12 individual loons scattered around the lake.
We also saw some other wildlife.
There were other interesting things to see.
